Chapel Offering: This year our school has chosen to support the Christian Resource Center in India.  This is a center that helps to spread the Good News of Jesus in a country that is 97% non christian.  Pastor Sam Thompson works at Christian Resource Center and is currently studying at Concordia Seminary.   He told us in chapel how his GOOD NEWS CLASS brought a young sick girl to know Jesus love, she became a Christian.  The girl was diagnosed with a heart problem and was not expected to live.  Many years later Pastor Sam Thompson was surprised when he met the girl.  She told him how Jesus healed her and her whole family had been baptized.  God is at work in India through people at the Christian Resources Center.

Our offering will go to support the work at the Christian Resource Center as they share Jesus. Namaste!

Book orders for August came home on Wednesday. I will place a scholastic order at the end of every month.

Dedication weekend - Sept. 6 and 7:  Please join us after your worship service (5:00 Saturday, 8 and 10:30 on Sunday) for our new building dedication. A ribbon cutting will take place at the end of all services along with a small reception in the commons area.  All rooms in all buildings will be open after the dedication to show off our fantastic new facilities. All worship services will be held in the school gym. Monday service will be regular service in the church.

Reflecting on our week:
What a blessing our families are to Zion! Many people turned out to help with the school playground. The kids can't wait to play on it and the teachers can't wait to see them enjoy it!

Motion Mission
During science this week we had a mission to investigate motion! The class rotated through 6 different centers experimenting, manipulating, observing, and recording how force causes motion.
