Memory: Continue to practice Advent Parts

Spelling: No spelling test this week

Grammar/Phonics: No tests this week

Social Studies:

Students will design a factory based on a product they would like to mass produce. They will make specific business decisions about their product and how it will get into the consumers hands.

Math: Test Wednesday

Christmas activities:

We will take a trip to several countries and learn about different holiday traditions around the world. We will create a fun art project at each stop.

Important Information/Reminders:

ADVENT SERVICE: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 10:00 and 7:00

For the morning service your child should just wear the school uniform, no 'fancy' clothes please.

For the evening service please have your child in the church basement at 6:50.  Please keep your child's coat.  Please DO NOT drop your child off early.  There will not be adult supervision until 6:50.  

For the evening service your child may wear a Christmas outfit or other Church clothes.  Please no jeans. After the service your child will be waiting for you in the Welcome Center.

We have been working hard on this service.  We each have our individual part and our songs ready.  We are excited to share the message of Jesus birth.

Christmas Service project donations due Wednesday, December 16th

A Ready Readers flyer came home last week in the Friday Folders with all the details. Donations are due by Wednesday, December 16th. Ready Readers will send a representative to Zion to pick up donated books and we will present them with a check. They are able to purchase three times the number of books with cash donations because they are given special discounts.

Polar Express Day: Thursday, December 17th

Send your child to school in their pjs! Thursday is our annual second grade trip to the North Pole. Slippers are allowed but please send your child to school in tennis shoes; we will still go outside for recess. Your child may also bring one small stuffed animal. Christmas Party and Noon Dismissal: Friday, December 18th
School will let out at 12:00 on Friday and will resume January 4th.
