Spelling: Test Friday

Phonics/Grammar:
abbreviations and ABC order

Math: 
Subtracting 10 from a number
Measuring to the nearest half inch

We will only have two math lessons this week. 
We will have centers the other two days in order to review past concepts. Students will continue to bring home a 100 addition fact practice sheet everyday.


Science:
Chapter 10 Physical Changes
We will finish up Ch. 10 with lesson 3- Mixtures and Solutions

Important Information/Reminders:
Don't forget we sing at the 10:30 service next Sunday (1/24/16) to kick off NLSW.

National Lutheran Schools Week- 1/25/16-1/29/16
This week is full of special activities and dress down days.

Monday students come to school dressed in their favorite pajamas.

All school assembly on Tuesday and students dress in Wacky-Tacky clothing.

Wednesday is career day. Students can dress in the clothing that they hope to wear someday as an adult. Hot chocolate will be sold at recess.

Thursday is a Spirit Day; students wear their favorite Lutheran school spirit shirt and it is the annual 8th grade vs. Teacher volleyball game.

On Friday our class wears blue and we will do an art project with Mrs. Cluck's seventh grade class. Our class has a special in-house field trip planned for Friday, the 29th. The Magic House will visit us with a Science Spectacular program. We will learn about gravity and forces in motion.
