April 4th-April 8th:

Memory: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”    Hebrews 13:5

Spelling: Lesson 28
ange/ash:
exchange, orange, change, strange, arranged, flashing, trash, smashed, bashful, cashew

Phonics/Grammar:
Onomatopoeia
We will be using comics to learn about onomatopoeia and to review sentence types and sentence structure.

Math: Test on Friday
Continue to review borrowing/regrouping with your child. We have been working on this for a few weeks but it is still a little confusing for some students. I will provide a lot of extra practice in this area, on top of what Saxon math gives the students, but your child might still need a little extra help at home.

Science: Chapter 12 Electricity
This is our last lesson in our Energy unit. Mr. Smith will visit the class on 4/11. He will bring Ameren's Safety City with him to help the students better understand electricity. Students will get a bird's eye view of a little town's electrical system.

Important Information/Reminders:
Mark your calendar for the Spring Musical! Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.

Reflecting on our week:
Students had fun using prisms to bend light.

This week we used fairy tales and fractured fairy tales to help us compare and contrast.
