Math: Subtraction will start this week! Homework will consist of a 25 subtraction fact sheets and the regular homework page. The test on Friday will continue with the written assessment and the 100 addition fact test along with a 25 fact subtraction test. The goal for the 100 addition fact sheet remains at 5 min and the goal for the 25 subtraction sheet is 2 min.

Science/Social Studies: Matter

Students will spend the next few weeks learning about matter. We will focus on answering the following questions:

*What is matter?

*What are the properties of a solid?

*What are the properties of liquids and solids?

Important Information /Reminders:
Come out and support our Zion varsity basketball teams on Friday, January 12th for the annual PACK THE GYM NIGHT! Girls play at 6:45 and the boys game will follow. Wear red and white and admission is only $1. Get here early to claim a seat because the Bobcats will pack the gym!

No school on 1/15/18 for MLK day

Donuts for Dads is scheduled for 1/17/18 in the church basement. Dads are welcome to join us for the chapel service starting at 8:10.

Our class sings at the 10:30 service on 1/21/18 to kick off National Lutheran Schools Week.
