This week will be short and packed with fun! We will use this short week to our advantage by doing a special project in reading. We will use Adapted Mind for our math lessons and students will start BLOGGING!!!
Wednesday will be our field trip to the Art Museum. A big thank you to our chaperones: Christy Johnson, Linda Phipps, and Michelle Mahoney. We will leave around 10:00 and return to school for lunch at 12:00.
Our harvest party will start around 1:45. Our room mom, Carla Paul is heading up the activities. Please remember to send in any used Halloween costumes for our class donation.

We will have a short Science test over the vocabulary words from Chapter 10 on Tuesday
Important Information/Dates:
Remember to send in used Halloween costumes. We will be donating them to a local children's home. Mrs. Sinovich is heading this up for us.
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, October 16th. I look forward to sitting down with everyone and getting a chance to talk about our first quarter together.
Muffins for Moms is set for Wednesday morning, November 5th. Moms meet in the church basement between 7 and 7:45 AM to enjoy a donut and some coffee or juice with your child(ren). Everyone is invited to stay for chapel if you can. What a great time to spend time with the kids before they go off to school!!
Reflecting on our week: We used notebook paper to practice blogging. Each student wrote down a piece of advise they would give their child someday.
We discussed how to make quality comments:
1) compliment
2) connect
3) add to the conversation
4) ask a question
Students went around to classmates and used sticky notes to leave quality comments. We will leave our first blog post next week!!
