Monday I will pre-assess the students to see how familiar the students are with the material. Then I will move forward with planning out the chapter including time frame of tests. I will communicate test dates via email and student planners.

Important Information/Dates:

Second Grade sings at 11:00 Zion church service this Sunday (1/25/15)- Please have your student come to the church balcony music room by 10:45

Zion Open House Jan. 25th 1:00-3:00

* Change War for Pastor Sam and the Christian Resource Center in India:
Each classroom will have a tub outside of their door throughout NLSW for students to add change (positive) and dollar bills (negative).  The classrooms (prek-3 & 4-8) with the most positive amount by the end of the week will receive a Pizza Party!

* Dress Up Day Descriptions:

Monday: P.J. Day
Wear pajamas/sweats
May bring one stuffed animal/pillow
May wear slippers (bring change of shoes for outside)

Tuesday: Wacky-Tacky Day
Mix it up with mismatched clothes
Jeans optional

Wednesday: Western Day
 Dress up like a cowboy/girl 
plaid, cowboy hat, cowboy boots, bandanas, etc. • Jeans optional 

Thursday: Spirit Day
Show your Zion spirit – Red, White, and Black
Jeans optional

Friday: Fairytale/Superhero Day
Dress up like a fairytale or superhero character
Jeans optional

**Students either chose to participate, or wear regular dress code.

Love and Logic helps:

It is not too late  to join the Bible Class on Love and Logic.  
Due to the class size we will be meeting in the Family Life Center (lower level of the church, the glassed in room).

Reflecting on our week:
This week during guided writing we worked on Fractured Fairy Tales. The students had a great time coming up with creative twists to their favorite Fairy Tales.

One of our centers featured Fractured Fairy Tales from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle show.
