Our First Summer Book Club Meeting!

Today we talked about how important it is for readers to know what they need to be successful! We walked through the role environment and goal setting play in comprehension and reading enjoyment.

 Students learned how to set daily reading goals, like third graders, that focus more on the book instead of time spent reading.

 We shared a few chapters together and learned new vocabulary words.

 Students finished by working on comics of their own to tell stories.
