Our class has decided we would like to help clean up the grassy area around our playground. During our harvest party we will fill in holes with dirt, spread grass seed, rope off the area, and put up signs to help remind others to stay off the area so the grass can grow. We will also sweep up the mulch around the playground and trim some of the trees. I will allow class time at the end of the day for students to water the seed and provide any upkeep until winter. I look forward to working along side your children to help care for and maintain our school yard.
Please send in a bucket with your child on Monday 10/12. We need to prep the ground before we put seed down and this means we will need to pick up all the little rocks in the area. We will spend Monday (10/12) and Tuesday (10/13) getting the area ready. If you have a work bucket please send it in with your child by Oct.12th.
