May 16th- May 20th:

Memory: Last Memory Test
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

Spelling: No test
We will focus our attention on spelling HFW (high frequency words) for the rest of the school year. These are words that students should be able to spell correctly in their daily writing. We will focus on 50 words per week. Their "pretest" will come home on Monday for parents to offer assistance to those whom need it.

Grammar: No test
We will continue to focus on transferring our grammar skills into our writing.
Focus will be tricky homophones (to, too, and two)

Math: No test
We will finish out the year reviewing past concepts along with continued addition and subtraction fact practice during center work.
A few new concepts will still be introduced and we will continue working on multiplication but students will not have a formal test on the information that will be recorded in the grade book.

Science: Animal Research Report- all work has been done in class using online resources. Students finished gathering information and are now ready to write their final research report.

Social Studies: Ch. 13
What does a good citizen do?

Important Information/Reminders:
Last week for hot lunch-
Hot lunch will not be served the last week of school (5/23/16-5/26/16).

Jackson Pollock Day- 5/24/16
Your child will get a chance to paint like artist Jackson Pollock!
In two weeks your child will need to bring a bag of old clothes and a pair old shoes (flip flops) to change into for the afternoon. Students will have paint on their clothes but I will try to allow enough time for the paint to dry. You might want to throw an old beach towel on your car seat before you pick them up. More then likely you will want to just throw their clothes away, so please send something old that can be discarded.

Summer Camp:
The enrollment for Summer Camp 2016 is now open.  You can download copies of the registrations forms and camp calendars at the link below:

We created our own circus just like Alexander Calder! Check it out in the hallway by our classroom!
