Reflecting on our week:
Freddie the fish taught us about pollution. Freddie (the sponge fish) was swimming in crystal clear water when he decided to go on an adventure. Throughout his adventure he ran into some trouble as he swam through soil, animal droppings, fertilizer, salt from the winter roads, litter from a nearby park, toxic pollutants from an abandoned factory, and oil. Students later used the polluted water as a STEM project. Their task was to get the polluted water as clean as possible.

Students also got to see the benefit of assembly lines by playing a paper chain game. One table worked on individual paper chains while the other table worked together. It was clear which was a quicker process when they saw the size difference in the paper chains created by the assembly line vs the ones that were individually created.

Students used a Marvel comic maker website to test their knowledge of protagonists and antagonists. Students used a two frame comic layout to create a protagonist and an antagonist.
