Science: Ch. 12 Heat and Light

Our next science unit is heat, light, sound, and electricity. My plan is to have a unit test over this material on Thursday, April 13th (as long as additional labs/activities aren't needed to further clarify understanding). I will also be teaching students how to do mind maps/sketch notes as we move through these lessons. This method of notetaking focuses on images rather than words to organize information. For some students, this is an easier way to organize, retain, and recall information than the traditional methods.

Important Information/Reminders:

*April 3rd-6th is Achievement test week. Please try to schedule any needed doctors appointments around these days if possible. 

*Wednesday, April 5th is a noon dismissal for a teacher in-service.

Collect your bottle caps and plastic lids!! The 6th grade class is collecting plastic lids to recycle into benches for our campus. Please send in used bottle caps, butter lids, plastic coffee lids, any plastic lid will do!!
