Important Information /Reminders:

December is a busy month packed with special student-led Advent services every Wednesday, and with that comes many days of practice. Our class schedule will change and things will need to be moved around in order to fit practice times into our day. December is all about being flexible and if you ever have any questions please email me anytime.
Our Advent service is the last Wednesday before Christmas break (12/20/17). We will have a performance for the student body during a special 10:00 a.m. chapel service and we will have another performance at 7:00 p.m. Please let me know as soon as possible if you know your child will not be able to make it that day. I have assigned speaking parts, but I can rearrange things if you know your child can't make it.

Our class is adopting a family for Christmas. I am waiting on the detail from Friends of Kids With Cancer for the details. I will pass this along as soon as I know more.

A note from Bethany Andrews:
Advent Family Fun Night
Saturday, December 2nd from 4pm-5pm in the Church Fellowship Hall
Join us for a night of games, activities, stories, treats, and family fun as we learn about Advent together! This "open-house" style event will have stations for families to discover together what Advent is and why we celebrate it. Come for 15 minutes or the full hour and join us as we celebrate the coming of the birth of our King!

Most of our First through Eighth Grade students participated in World Sport Stacking Day this past Thursday. Throughout the day the gym was filled with active and enthusiastic students as cups were up stacked and down stacked in various patterns. We also had 10 adult volunteers who helped the event run very smoothly. We probably won’t know if a new world record has been set until after Thanksgiving.

If your child enjoyed our sport stacking unit and you’d like to purchase equipment for them please go to http://www.speedstacks.com/store/retail/. They normally have some good sales this time of year.

Reflecting on our week:
We worked in the STEAM lab creating Wampanoag homes. The students came up with some amazing designs and the collaboration was awesome. We were in the STEAM lab for 45 minutes and the students were engaged and designing the entire time!
