Feb. 14th is Ash Wednesday! Valentine's Day is also on Wednesday. Please remember to bring in your Valentine boxes/bags for the party on Wednesday. 

BOX TOP contest is going on now until Feb. 21st! Keep those Box Tops coming! 

Compound Day Fashion Show:

Compound word day will take place this Friday, Feb. 16th. This will be chance for the kids to demonstrate their knowledge of our grammar skill for the week (compound words) in a fun and engaging way.

·      Students will need to come to school in their regular school uniform, and bring any of their clothing/supplies needs for their compound words in their backpacks or a separate bag to change into at the given time.

·      Students will take turns coming to the front of the room wearing their compound word outfit, and the rest of the class will have to write down all the compound words they see on their classmate.

·      After we have finished our activity, students will change back into their regular school uniform.

·      Examples of compound words students could use:

o   Gumball (wear a shirt with a gumball machine on it)

o   Sunhat

o   Bathrobe

o   Sunglasses

o   Headphones

o   Shinguards

o   Batman, Spiderman, Superman, etc.

·      Be creative and have funJ

Grandparents’ or Special Friends’ Day is scheduled for Friday, March 9th from 8:00-11:00.  
Please plan on having a grandparent or special guest attend.  Your child must have an adult present.
8:00 - 8:30 Arrive anytime between 8:00 - 8:30     
8:00 - 9:45 AM      Guests and students stay together and spend time at various activities.  A map will go home
with students and extra maps will be available that day. Family units decide where they want to start.
