April 23rd- April 27th:
Memory:
Ephesians 4:29

Spelling:
Lesson 29

Grammar:
similies/metaphors

Reading/Writing:
Poetry

Math:
We will continue to alternate review days and new lessons. At this point, it is more important to increase comfort with all the math concepts we have learned (time, money, rounding, fractions, shapes, borrowing, carrying, place value, etc) and increase the speed of fact recall focusing on addition and subtraction, than it is to continue to move deeper into multiplication and division (main focus of third grade). We will continue to practice the concept of multiplication but it is expected that the students have solid rapid recall of addition and subtraction facts when they enter third grade. The more we solidify these skills in second grade the better off students will be in third grade.
The test will be Friday (4/27/18)
